You take the coin in your right hand and toss it over your left shoulder. One coin, your wish will come true and one day, you will return to Rome. Two coins means you’ll find your true love.

This cultural riverside hotspot has many attractions such as the Aquarium, the National Theater, several galleries, the Royal Festival Hall, Waterloo Bridge and the london Eye, but there are many other fun things to do as well.  Walking around South Bank you are surrounded by all forms of art and culture. You will see a variety of street performers, dancers and even magicians gathering an audience and trying to impress its viewers in an attempt earn a pound. There is also a really cool graffiti covered skate park called the Undercroft which has been around since the 1970’s and is always filled with skaters. South Bank is  definitely worth exploring and spending a day in!  Conveniently located within walking distance of Westminster, Covent Garden and many other cool venues.

Warning!! -Don’t take a picture with the sketchy costumed people walking around unless you are prepared to give them change. They take there jobs very seriously! I took a picture with, what I thought was harmless, Minnie Mouse, and quickly realized that she meant business. She grabbed me as I tried to leave and pointed to her hat filled with collected change from her other victims.

find pictures from my day at South Bank Below :)

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

So I finally experienced Brick Lane on a sunday and it was the coolest experience. Brick Lane is one of London’s many markets. It is located in East London and is historically associated with the scene of  Jack the Ripper murders. Brick Lane is located in the heart of the Bangladeshi community and is easily accessible by tube or bus. It was once associated with  poor slums of London, but today it is  one of the most popular places to visit in London. The Brick Lane Market takes place every Sunday between 9am-5pm, and the streets are filled with hundreds of people.  The Market is a great way to bargain and find inexpensive things. Food from ever country, jewelry, clothing, toys, books, the list goes on! You can literally find anything at the Brick Lane Market. Brick lane is home to the famous 24/7 Bagel shop that is open 24hrs every day 365 days a year. It is also is home to many galleries, restaurants, and street art. it truly is a vibrant artistic community. The street performers and music blasting from almost every other store enhances the lively atmosphere. So if you’re ever in London on a Sunday make sure you experience Brick Lane!
